My PRS dealer just got in a lovely Paul's 10 top and, upon inquiring about it further, said that was the last one the shop will be able to get as they're not taking orders on them post 2024. He speculated they're either discontinuing the model or changing it for this next year.

What do you guys think? I love the Paul's guitars, the SE Paul's was the first PRS that really wow'd me. I hope they keep them around or spruce them up somehow.

Indeed, the PG core model was disappeared few days ago from the website.
Hopefully this is not the case as PG is one of the most ''not only beautiful'' but also very flexible.
Especially the ones from 2023 and 2024.
Plus: other than the pickups, nitro finish and unique fretboard inlays, it has no fretboard binding which for me fits perfectly to PRS models.
Just my 2 cents.

Let's see if Paul is going to re-release the model with some more updates later on.

For me there is something that has to do with wiring and electronics. It seems that 24-08 is also constantly changing.

Maybe they feel like with a Modern Eagle V, you are getting all the tone of the Paul's guitar (same playability) plus all the single coil tones added in. They are a little redundant when compared to the MEV.

@Glide-bpm might be entirely right in that the ME V seems to outrank many, many guitars since its Core release--including quite likely the Paul's Guitar.

But if you're worried about its discontinuation, see here for some reassurance that all will still be OK:

Bummer!

I’m still on the hunt for one, or a stoptail 408. But I need a rosewood neck, or at least something very satin-like, like a roasted maple neck.

I’m doubtful that an S2 Paul’s guitar come out, with a satin finish, but I would love that!

hey maybe its for whatever the keith guitar is for a 40th release. semi hollow, maple neck.

It's a favorite of mine due to the ticker neck, 22 frets, unique(ish) pickups individual coil-splits and wrap-around tail-piece. "Hard-tails" are a limited offering at PRS, so it's especially sad to see this model leave the catalog.

Wouldn't be surprised if a new iteration of the PG appears later in the near future.. ;)

I’m relatively new to PRS guitars, but can see they are constantly tinkering / changing models and specs. In some ways, that’s one of the things I like the most about PRS. They keep innovating and experimenting.

I have an SC 594 that I like a lot. I bought it because I wanted a SC Les Paul style guitar with PRS quality. I hardly ever play my Gibson Les Paul after getting the 594. Just my .02, If there’s a guitar I want / like I don’t think it being discontinued would dissuade me from getting it. I was planning on getting a Paul’s guitar until I stumbled on the limited edition semi-hollow DGT. I couldn’t afford to get both.

I think the new Custom 24-08 divergence with the Paul's style TCI pickups ( instead of the new DMO's) and "McLaughlin" switches fits the hole left

That’s it. I’m holding on to these for eternity.
