Can anyone verify that the coil splitting is in fact engaging more windings or is there a mistake in the video? This is the first time I have heard this.
I'm pretty sure they don't work like 408s i.e. 1500 more winds added to the slug coil when tapped. I can't say for sure though of course, I've only seen inside a S2 Mira and not a S2 CU22, but logic would dictate there's not a whole lot of difference in the switching.
