Last night Paul Gilbert gave a 2 hour seminar in Ft. Wayne. There were about 30 of us in attendance, and we all had guitars. He opened up with exercises to strengthen each hand and increase dexterity. Then he discussed and demonstrated developing triads. I was good for the first hour, but I got that “deer in the headlights” look in the 2nd; he was so far beyond me (understatement). But, he was entertaining, funny, and extremely friendly. A bunch of guys had him sign their guitars and I took 2 Mr. Big CD covers.

He does have an interesting wardrobe.

Sweet! I saw him at a clinic back in the '80's...he has such skill in his hands...he was a cool dude then as well!

Wow, what a cool experience! He always seemed like a fun a genuine nice guy. Amazing talent.

He's one of my very favorite gittar heros... such a fabulous personality. His internal guitar 'library' is legendary.
I actually own a few of his Fireman model guitars, and they are way more comfortable than they look... ;)

I always like him, way back to the Racer X days. Just got around to subscribing to his channel earlier this week. Looks like a fun time, Steve!

I happened to see him give a clinic in Edinburgh, Scotland, only to hear him say he lives in Portland, which is almost but not quite in my back yard. Funny to travel so far around the world and see somebody who lives close to you. He was great fun, and my big takeaway form that night was that I needed learn the Police's "Walking on the Moon." Didn't see that coming...

Oh, and he's huge!! He looks to be, what, 6'8"?
