Paul’s Guitar - how is the physical balance?

Hello All - I’m quite interested by the Paul’s Guitar model and was wondering whether anyone had insight into how they balance on the leg while playing sat down. I am not talented but do my best sat down! Stratocasters and Telecasters fit me so well and balance perfectly - I never give them a second thought. Conversely, Les Paul style guitars just want to dive off my leg and I feel like I’m always paying attention to it. Anyway, is the Paul’s Guitar more like a Stratocaster in this regard? Well balanced?

Thanks so much. Take care.

I haven't had a Paul's Guitar or MEV that wasn't well balanced, they tend to stay in the 7-8lbs range with the stop tail.
I had a LP I custom spec'd that I hated as it'd constantly want to butt dive playing in the lap (perfectly balanced with a strap though), it was 8lbs14oz though.

I wasn’t paying attention the other day and was reaching to my left and my Paul’s Guitar took a leap to the right. The neck caught me in the chin. Fortunately that stopped the guitar enough that it didn’t hit the floor. If I had a strap on the guitar, that probably wouldn’t have happened. Overall it is a pretty balanced guitar. I think my issue was more user error than anything.

I know this isn't an answer to the question you asked, but i thought i'd share. I usually still use a strap even when i play sitting down and let the strap do the work for me. Really helps my overall playing. Guess i got the habit from playing Les Pauls during the first years of my guitar formation.

Thank you all for your comments - much appreciated. It certainly appears to be a very versatile guitar and I also like the relatively simple controls - one volume, one tone (in addition to the toggles). I hope to try one in person before it takes a spot on the list of future acquisitions!
