I just purchased a McKorina with cream pickup covers and want to change them to black. To anyone that has done this, which covers do you buy that will be a direct replacement? And are they easy to replace?
Go to stew Mac or mojotone they are gibson size direct replacements.Take out the two Phillips head screws pop off old cover put on new cover should take about. 5 minutes. Hope this helps
I have a couple of stewmac covers that don't fit.......and good luck trying to get seymour Duncan on the phone to get right ones. I had to take a sharpy to mine except now they are purple black like an eggplant, not black like the switch tip and the rest of the guitar.

Thanks for the info Blues. The Stewy ones got bad reviews so I went with the ones at Mojotone. Both covers and guitar should be here by the weekend so I will report back WEDGE.
Did you ever get the feeling something just wasn't meant to be? So I got my McKorina (the one pictured below) on Friday. The finish on this was a mess. From the bridge all the way to the bottom of the guitar feel like someone took a very abrasive rag to the top. It was very rough feeling while the rest of the guitar felt nice and smooth. You could see 1000's of tiny surface scratches over the area when angled in the light. There was also a red mark on the guitar between the pickup selector and the tone knob that seemed to be under the finish. There were also tiny pits along the edging of the guitar. Very disappointing. This is my first PRS I have ever bought new out of the 10 that I have owned. This was in the worst condition out of any of them, all the rest were all used.
So I got my "new" guitar and also I got my black pickup covers I ordered from Mojotone delivered at the same time. I opened the package up and I see what is in the picture below. What are these you ask? I have no freaking idea. They certainly aren't pickup covers. I look at the receipt, yep I ordered black p90 pickup covers.
So here I am on a Friday and completely disappointed.
The McKorina did sound fantastic though. Loved the sound and the p90s. Which made it all even worse because this was the last one that had the pattern neck and was nickel hardware. Oh well. Guitar was sent back today. Will need to cancel the pickup covers from Mojotone.
