P22 Jack Plug Problem On Piezo Plug

I replaced the battery on the Piezo system because it didn't seem to be working. If I plug the jack all the way into the Piezo plug, no sound. If I pull it out till I feel a "click", then I get sound. The jack works fine in the regular plug. I have never been very happy with teh "Piezo" sound. To tell the truth, it does not sound much different from the standard.
What is the issue? Bad Jack Plug?

Are you using a QTR or TRS cable?
When you are using the combination jack (the lower one) do you also use the pickup selector and piezo volume?

Try a different cable and report. As far as the piezo sound potential, YOU MUST USE AN ACOUSTIC AMP. If you're running your piezo through your clean channel of your guitar amp, you're seriously lowering your piezo mojo. Fishman makes downright cheap and amazing sounding acoustic amps. GO.

I read this yesterday, but wanted to mull it over in my head...

You get a signal when you pull the plug out until it "clicks": how far out is the plug from the normal position? I'm thinking the Sleeve portion of the connector is clicking into the tip-notch of the plug, which would indicate the jack may be bad (or just need some physical adjustment).

As for being disappointed with the piezo: as ViperDoc says, you need to process the output differently from a normal mag pickup output to really appreciate the difference. I take the piezo signal, put it through an acoustic simulator pedal, and then into an acoustic amp or PA. Sounds just as acoustic as any of the acoustic guitars plugged straight into the PA.

As a comparison, take your elec guitar normal mag pickup signal and put it through a distortion pedal and then straight into a PA - sounds awful. An elec guitar amp has a tonal shape to it that gives us that familiar sound, but as a result it takes away some of the characteristics that make the piezo signal what it is.

The cable I am using worked before, but not now. I appreciate the advice to try an acoustic amp, I will definitely do that. I think I may have a bad jack.

You might also try removing the cavity cover and bending the jack clip tighter against the plug. It's clear you're lacking contact on something depending on your plug position. You might also ensure your jack is simply tightened to the body.
