Can any of you technical wizards help!!!
Iv'e come into an Ox attenuator and want to connect to my sonzera 20. Seems not to be quite as straight forward as the guide. any advise ( Pretty Please) Cheers Al.

Looks like it should be just a speaker cable out from the amp (at the appropriate ohm rating) into the amp input of the Ox. Then the speaker out of the Ox back to the Sonzera if it’s a combo. You may need an extension cable for that - combo speaker cables tend to be just long enough for their own purposes.

One short speaker cable to go from the amp output to the input of the Ox Box.
One 1/4" TS female-female adapter plug to go between the speaker cable and
One short speaker cable to go from the adapter plug into the output of the Ox Box.

Set the Ohm switch on the Ox Box to 16 ohm.

Always turn on the Ox Box before the amp.

The others have you covered, just do as instructed!

All of the connections, as well as operation of the Ox Box and the Ox App (this opens a plethora of options and makes what is going on worlds easier to understand) are in the online manual. It is here:

Thanks guys I have an extension cable ordered and on the way.
I have 1 16ohm socket a 4ohm socket, 4ohm ext socket
and 8 ohm socket and 8ohm ext socket (No socket marked amp output) So I can go speaker extension to input of Ox.
What may I use as Amp speaker output to take me back to the Ox. Thanks guys much appreciated Al.

You'll want to unplug the speaker where it is now. I'd just run the cable to the Ox from that output, select whatever the ohm setting for that is, then run back to the speaker. Kind of like inserting a pedal.

I went and looked up a picture so I could see what you’re seeing. The internal speaker is plugged into the far left speaker output, and is 16 ohm. Unplug that, and run a quality speaker (not instrument) cable between that output and the red “From Amplifier” input connection on the Ox. Set the dial in the back center of the Ox to 16 ohm. Make sure to turn on the Ox before you turn on the amp. At this point you could plug in headphones or connect to a mixer and play. You don’t have to have a speaker connected. In order to use your speaker, plug the cable from the internal amp speaker to the “To Speaker” connection to the left of the red input you used to connect the amplifier’s output. This is where you may need that extension.

I encourage you to read the manual, and keep it close by. All of the above, and a huge amount more, is in there. We’ll help you sort anything you don’t understand.

The purpose of the Ox Box is to make your amplifier more useful. It does this in several ways, but make sure you understand the amp attenuation and rigs parts for a good starting place. This is a truly professional level piece of gear, so don’t worry if you don’t get it all on first use. Read, watch some videos (Pete Thorn has a couple of good ones using the Ox Box), and experiment. It will come to you, and it’s a lot of fun to learn.

Cheers Rick. Way to go. You guys are the mutts. much appreciated.

Glad to hear you got it fired up. I’ll be curious to hear what you think of it. I have a Cab Clone, which is not in the same class as the Ox, but I’ve thought about an Ox off and on.

You really need to snag one. I had the pleasure of hearing one in action at Pete’s months ago. Simply stunning. If I ever get rid of the Kemper, I would definitely get an Ox.
