Original PRS Custom 24 carved body vs the current body?

He mentions a retro violin curve on the 40th Anniversary edition. I did not know there was a retro violin carve (see 1:35 in video). Does anyone know what the differences are?

However, to address your question in the title: that’s not what original “Core” top carves looked like.

(Not to brag, but) I've got an '89 Custom and I cannot discern that its top is different from the current stuff.
