Original HFS and VB pickups vs SE versions

Hi there,

I'm wondering if I have made a mistake with an eBay purchase.

If a pickup is marked as HFS or VB on its base, is it a proper USA made pickup (like the ones that came in my 1994 CE24) or could it be a cheaper version as found in the SE models?

I believe the SE versions will not have the PRS stamped into the brass on the backside. They will have GBE or whatever the name is instead. Just look for the PRS stamped into the backplate.

The SE ones will say "G&B Pickup Co" on them.

Yes, you are fine. Those are US pickups

Great. I have them in my 1994 CE24, and I have a set in my Suhr, and am just about to pick up my Vigier, which, you guessed it, has had a set put in too
