I am a huge Opeth fan. I'm a bit saddened that they have totally abandoned the death metal side of their sound. That being said, I think Pale Communion is a better album than Heritage.

They are also the band that turned me on to PRS guitars!

One of the few bands I'd never heard of until their experience debut, and I loved it. Will grab the new CD...loved Heritage. My 20 year old loves their older stuff.

I may listen to the new one on Amazon since it is sans death growls.
I do not care for growling :D
No offense to anyone here though who likes it or performs it.

I love the mix of death metal vox with clean. Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, etc... Songs can go from the most beautiful music to the most brutal, and they make it work. One of the most creative bands ever.
