Glad you're on the mend! Sounds like nerve damage. The feeling will come back. Or not. Depends on where the damage occurred.

I have a little spot on the back of my hand that's permanently a bit numb as a result of the surgery to fix my thumb (they had to slice into the back of my hand to steal a little bit of sumthin').
Good to hear you are recovering. So, as FZ once said, "Shut up and play your guitar!" ;)

I see you said you had some numbness on your thumb.
A trick I learned from my Physical Therapist after a major knee surgery is to use a comb and gently run it around the area of the cut or incision..
This helps stimulate the nerves and can help you to get feeling back.
Hope you are doing better....

Yeah, I have a little numbness that’s slowly getting better the more I use it. It’s on the outside of my thumb and only feels creepy when using scissors or digging into a plastic bag.

I’ll try the comb thing.
