The depth of the figure of the curls on the top are sooooo deep! The way the light plays off the finish choice is outstanding.

I’m fortunate to have a Braz neck that dark (on a certain piece of Koa) so I can only guess how good that prototype sounds with Collection series pickups and electronics.

what makes it a violin guitar?
My recall of the conversation with Paul is that he wanted to use woods similar to the best crafted violins. He also wanted to finish them in a similar manner. Basically he was trying to do what he imagined Stradivarius would do if he was an electric guitar maker.

that’s neat, the back of the neck is like a fretboard and the top striping is ridiculous. it’s the violin i wanted in middle school orchestra (got a rented viola instead).
