I broke my first string on my KL today,... Fuggin' PII tuners, I needed to find a screwdriver (not the drink) to change a string.. I know, you could use a coin, but I didn't have any on me. Tried to use a rolled up $20 to loosen it... Don't work... Guitar pick? too flexible...

No christmas tree, no pointy crimped string ends, wimpy small buttons... They turn nice though...

Wings 4 Life.

Why have function and convenience when you can have tradition, right? :)

If the PTC can convert Winged to Phase II shafts, the STC can convert Phase IIs to Winged shafts... Just sayin!

All that Shaft talk... Shut yo' mouth!.

Company man.

Although it's interesting... I'm of a lost generation of players who adapted to the dogma of wings so much so that I'm now publicly outraged by change. Is this the same lost feeling that members of unsuccessful political regimes must have felt when their chosen ideological beliefs crumbled before their eyes?

Gotta say I'm in Sergio's camp with the winged tuners...uber fast string changes.

See!!!! We gotta camp now an' everything!

Did I really tighten it down that much usually its just finger tight :(
Sounds like that KL is getting a workout

I, too am of that lost generation of players who were enchanted by the spell of the winged tuners. I confess, I was a dyed in the wool Wing Man.

Oh, sure, for years I've been coping with the Phase II and III tuners, but I've been secretly biding my time until the Return Of The Wingies. I know the Winged Tuner Secret Handshake. I sometimes lock myself in the bathroom and sing the Wing Internationale:

Stand up, guitarists of the Earth
Stand up, musicians of starvation
Reason thunders in its winged volcano
This is the eruption of the end.
Of the present let us make a clean slate
Enslaved players, stand up, stand up.
The world is about to change its foundation
We are nothing, let us be Wings.

This is the final struggle

Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the Winged race!

Sigh. The good old days...

In a secret place in my closet, I still have my Winged Tuner armband.

Winged Phase IIIs!
Winged Phase IIIs!
Winged Phase IIIs!
Winged Phase IIIs!

Wings rule! I still roll my eyes when people complain about them. Easiest tuners ever.

Wings rule!
