hey gang, first post here.
was wondering if anyone had any experience with older prs pickups?!
I just bought this 1993 24, and it came to me with a seymour duncan in the bridge and it sounds awful.
if anyone knows what would suit this guitar nicely, or what it originally came with, thatd be awesome, or anything about older prs pickups really.

Dragon 1 or HFS would probably be factory that year and are really good ceramic magnet pups. If you want something a little more updated, a 59/09 would be great too...

Dragon 1 all the way !!!!!! They are thick and really articulate sounding !!! Throw that duncan in the trash !!!

Hey, welcome to the forum! Before you decide on which pickup to put in, first think of the reasons why you don't like the duncan. And also you should take into considerations on your type of music. Of course slapping in a HFS or Dragon would be authentic, but the last thing you want is to put them in and then realise they don't suit your style!

Agree with what others have said about the most authentic replacements for that model/year (Dragon 1 or HFS). Also couldn't go wrong with 57/08 or 59/09. It would be helpful to know which Duncan PU you have that is so offensive...to avoid a similar type, and which neck pickup you have (Dragon1 or VB) to find a good match for it (assuming you like it).
