Very interesting - thanks for posting. What ever happened with the proposed collaboration with Kramer, for lower price point PRS guitars in the ‘80s?

Also, anyone ever tried a quick “flick of a rotary” switch?

Interesting comments Paul makes about "breaking the code" on what makes an old PAF sound the way it does.

Today, PRS is making pickups that sound more like vintage 50's and 60's pickups than PRS was in the 80's.

Guess he still had more to learn after all.

I thought it was a cool article because of the mention of potentially working with Kramer Guitars and also how he cracked the pickup code with Orkie back in the early days. Not to mention the Floyd Rose on that Custom 24.

Did anyone notice the "Quick draw pick dispenser" SCREWED to the top of the guy's guitar (Les Paul?) at the bottom left of page 10?

It's endless. And every 50's PAF might sound a little different from every other one.

And you know what? I'm finding that same variety in the PRS 57/08 pickup sets I have.

Every one seems a little different.

More output. Less output. Thicker denser lower mids tone. More open airier tone.

They have a common personality but my four sets vary a lot.
