Curse you, unruly PRS mob...

This is a damn fine instrument. I'm really enjoying the pickups, but I do have some fine tuning to perform. I'm enjoying the rosewood board, too, it's a nice change of pace. I'm a huge fan of a 9.5" fretboard radius, so this 10" radii board will be most welcome. The maple neck has a good feel to it, and it's not too thin, but it ain't no SE SS neck. Also, looks like my SE CE 24 has a two piece body, and it's matched fairly well right near center. I do have a few minor nitpicks, but I don't need to dwell on those little quibbles. Since the SE CE checks out, I'll get it set up to my spec in the next few days. Otherwise, the frets are nicely finished, and the strings still have some life in them, so just a spec setup up and pickup dial in.

I'll post nicer images soon.

Regards,

J

It's what we do...

…and do well.

Congrats on the newest member of the family!

Enabling is fun! Congrats

$weetne$$!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!!!

This is ONLY a primer.........5 years from now you will have been coerced into a few core models.

Then and only then are you allowed to cry about it.........lol

You must be new here…. This “unruly mob” is a well organized, well coordinated conglomerate of specialized serial enablers, as you’ll soon discover.

Power to the Forum!

Great guitar too.

Congratulations. We like to help.

That's Gorgeous!

Now about the next one.........

Awesome sauce!
Congrats, she's a beauty.
Oh... and sorry, not sorry... :D

HNSECE24D!
It gets progressively worse, btw.

Thanks, I think...?

You know, my local shop has a NOS 2022 CE24, with an oddly gorgeous fire wrap top, for $1900 US Clams...Hmmm 🤔

I digress.

My SECE24 is a very fine, well playing instrument, but it does not blow me away. It's a solid guitar, but it's still a mass market guitar with it's mass market idiosyncrasies. I'll need to iron out some of those idiosyncrasies this weekend. It's still plenty good for me, and I like working on idiosyncrasies-to an extent.

This one is going to replace my two humbucker guitars; a very budgety Mitchell MS450 that punched well above it's weight and was a blast to play, and a wonderfully spec'd Cort FATII that's a bit painful to play due to it's flat-ish compound radius board.

So, in the last six weeks I've added two PRS SEs, and have let go of 3 others.

Otherwise, this SE CE is 7 lbs 6oz, has a two piece body (as best as I can tell) and has a very lovely looking AND playing rosewood board. I did take some LCR readings, so I'll post those up right now along with the SE SS numbers (since I already had the meter out). I'll post a few more pictures up, as well.
