Two reasons rear plates aren't changed
1. Retirement signing (I put a few coats of clear on both after I got it so they match and Paul's happy retirement signing doesn't rub off).
2. Black is just fine with Fire Red Burst.

For some reason I like the light dark contrast of the truss rod cover, sand it matches the rest of the previous dress up mods on the body below.

Y'all know by now I'm bat sh@t crazy and dig some weird at times combinations!
LoL!

Beautiful guitar!

I notice the neck humbucker is mounted reversed, so that the screw polepieces aim towards the middle pickup.

My '97 CE22 came to me that way and I've come to prefer the slight change in sound reversing the neck pickup makes.

Recently changed my '95 CE22 to the same configuration.

Yeah, that way with the neck pickup on these, as well as the Paul’s Guitar. As I recall, Paul said he thinks that gives the 4 position a more approx “quack” on the HB equipped guitars when split, or something along those lines. It may have been in the launch video for the SSH Ltd.

Welcome to the club! Who isn't bat sh@t crazy on this forum??

I always like experimenting with different TRC's and knobs. BTW got a link where you got those knobs?

Beautiful guitar!

check out both sites, but www.crazyparts.de had the knobs.
www.pickuprings.com has some of the parts I used as well. I usually have to order some things from one
and other things from the other.

I don’t know, I can’t find those white knobs with the birds on that website. But I’m not always the brightest bulb in the bunch.
Scroll all the way down almost and you'll see a figured maple with bird and then eventually the grained ivoroid one with the bird and an elephant ivoroid with the bird.
