Old Dude buys first PRS, joins prsguitars.com

For me, really bold tops (like the quilted rose you pictured) sort of turn me off, as do the ezra greens (I just don't like the more pastel/olive shades of green), nor the multicolor/rainbow-ish blends on some tops. I run toward something that jumps a bit, but not garish, if that makes any sense. But yes, it has to have the playability factor before I will even remotely consider it. Having said that I bought my Hollowbody purely based on the "I want it" factor without even having heard one live or playing one. Bryan Ewald is PRS's best salesman IMO.🤣
While it's true, all PRS guitars have that visual thing going for them, it's part of what they are. But a guitar still has to have that fit my hands thing in order to stay with me. And I can make any guitar sound terrible if I want to, but when I hear one that rings that tuning fork in my loins, only the lack of money can prevent me from owning it. And that can be overcome with time and some necessary frugality...😉

Yeah, this SE CU24 Violet Quilt is a lot more Pink than Violet; I believe some are this way except the showroom pics on the PRS site...

Nevertheless, I like the color on this one.

I don't have a 3 piece suit like that...but you don't want to know what happens when a husband does the washing with a red T-shirt!

Seriously...that is PRS's best layout for a guitar in my opinion. A useful volume knob, right there...the pup switch and the tone knob in left field that is seldom used. No dang mini toggles and of course my fav...the PRS whammy. The dbl cut hugs my body and overall, everything is just a first choice, right.
