If I were to say the year "1986" and that the serial number was below 1000 what ballpark would I be in?

Pretty dang high. Birds or no birds? I’ve seen them all over the place. Especially now.

Birds yes--desirable yellow color, no (it's whale blue), and not a particularly well-flamed top. Pickup polepieces and bridge are surprisingly shiny though, and the guitar seems in top condition (as does the original case). But yeah, guesstimating a fair target value is pretty hard.

I’m watching an ‘89 in Vintage Yellow and it’s around $6k, so definitely over that.
