I would go in reverse, but mostly because most of my bass playing was with a guitar player who couldn't play lead. It would have given me a lot more flexibility than high up on my four strings.

I saw that in the white at Experience. It was actually quite light, granted none of the hardware was attached. Beautiful axe.

I understand once their bass player left, Nolly stepped in on bass to fill the void, making Periphery technically a three guitarist band. "Djent" doesn't lend itself to much contribution from a bass player anyway, so I'm not surprised he left.

I think it was road fatigue, maybe family. He produces a fair bit, and now has a new drum sample company (Getgood Drums) so likely has enough to do without touring.

A bunch of the guys in that band have business savvy (drummer has a tshirt line and several instructional companies) and are cool examples as to how to 'make it' in the current music industry.
