Consider the possibility that it is a meaningless scribble denoting nothing whatsoever to do with the guitar, made 14 years ago by someone you'll likely never meet who might just have been trying out his or her new pen.
Do you save the hang tags from your new vacuum cleaner? No. You throw them away. Same with the sticker that comes on your package of AA batteries. Or the tags that come with your new suit. That's what should be done with guitar hang tags, too.
It is pointless to save them, and only encourages those impossible collectors to demand more and more of what they call "case candy." I mean, just try and eat that stuff. It's not candy at all!
Give the sticker to your kid, throw away the damned hang tag and the plastic pouch and the warranty card you can now replace with online registration, and maybe, if you're so inclined, save the instruction manual. You are however encouraged to read the out-of-date Signature magazine they throw in the case in the bathroom. As far as the included accessory catalog goes, that's probably out of date, too. Optional bathroom reading material, I guess, if your thing is drooling over trem arms and such.
Don't be afraid to take the modcat sticker off the end of the case and stick it to your pet rock.
