Odd CE

I recently got a '97 CE24 in an online sale. I was expecting it to have the typical specs for its model and era, but it's got Dragon I pickups rather than VB/HFS, and a regular neck instead of wide thin. I was told that it's all stock, and serial numbers match up all around. It doesn't appear to have been modified, so I'm wondering: Were these options available at the time, or did I just hit the jackpot on something that someone ordered special?

In '95, CE22's were available with uncovered Dragon II pickups and rotary knobs. (Owned one from '95 until '97). I'd hazard to say that '97 CE24s had similar configs, but may have been ordered direct from the factory because of the Dragon I pickups...
