p.s. the little box on the JVM205 is the Positive Grid Spark 40. It’s a practice amp that’s a quasi-modeler, can play YouTube songs and transcribe chords, and can add bass and drums to your recorded rhythm track. And very, very portable. Two speakers, aux input, Bluetooth, app for phone or tablet to load new sounds. And very affordable. Y’all should check’em out on YouTube.

I have actually been super intrigued by the 509 lately. I feel it would complement my 594 quite well in terms of tone. How do you like yours? My local shop has one exactly like that (orange tiger)! It's an artist pack so it's quite pricey, but stunning nonetheless. I haven't actually plugged a 509 in yet, but I definitely will be doing that soon. It seems like a very versatile guitar with a bit of strat spank to it! I definitely dig the neck carve though, and the scale length should be fine.
