Got an early xMas present. I've been looking at these and ordered them. NO JOY, the usual "doesn't ship to Hawaii" malarkey. Must be the batts. Anyway, I send them to my ladies daughter in Texas, and she sends them to me.

So I charge them, plug them in and they instantly pair with me not having to do anything. The signal is impressive. At 20 feet, you might as well have a cable cause it doesn't sound a bit different. I looked kinda funny walking in front of my house, my neighbors drive way, across the street with a guitar and just plunking away and hearing it my house. I've always wondered what passerbys thinks.. I think they think we rock!!!. These things are a good upgrade for me!! Pricey at 130, but worth it if you are tired of cables all over the floor of the living room that I'm sure SWMBO dislikes but says nothing about...;-)

I'm not sure if they are wifi or bluetooth, but they work, don't get interfered with with the routers in the house and sound remarkably well. They aren't even the size of a pack of smokes, tiny and have a green light on them. That's it. It is nice being free of a cable.

I currently use an Xvive U2 wireless system for home and some gigging - the R/Ts are each about the size of a car key remote FOB, and charge via micro-USB. There are four possible channels, which is good, because a band mate uses them for his instrument (guitar and/or fiddle).

They are "digital wireless", like cordless phones, and operate at 2.4 GHz, which is same as wifi, but they aren't technically wifi.

@Parralax view , if you were outside using them successfully they are probably not Bluetooth, but probably digital wireless like mine. Yep, just checked, and they operate at 2.4 GHz. You also have 4 channels, in case someone else is using one nearby (or just bad signal due to interference from cordless phones or really powerful wifi systems).

;-) some guy on the tube was reviewing them. His only dislike was that they moved around alot in the output jack of the guitar while he Jumped around and did stage antics. The guitar was a worn out hand painted Jackson or Charvel looking copy and the jack was completely worn out. They stay stone still in my guitars with good jacks in all of them.

I’m curious to see if it’s good enough for recording. Would be kind of nice not stepping around some cables - or getting them tangled on my chair.

Okay! That does it...after two hours of fighting with two of the sh!ttiest cables ever made this afternoon...I was committed to ordering a couple of "good ones" this morning as soon as my eyes opened. Then last night I read this thread....DAMMIT MAN! I am such a gear ho...I'm a weak, weak man.

ScottRs to-do list

-Order wireless thingamabobs for my guitar..CHECK!

-Alert the neighbor about incoming package and sync our stories.

-Take the two sh!ttiest cables ever made, back to the local sh!ttiest music store in history and get screwed around and refused a refund...beat the Brad Paisley wanna be clerk amongst the head and shoulders with the sh!ttiest cables ever made.

-Wake clerk up clerk with bottle of cold water, ask why he never has a set of strap locks, my strings, and why they only have two picks in stock at all times!

-Resume beating the afore mentioned knuckle head that can only answer any question with..."uhhhh, naw we ain't got none of them things".

-Stop by ATM on the way home to take out bail money.""

-Wait for cops to show up and ask me if I've been to the music store today?

Moral of the story...go wireless before you trip over your sh!try cables and break a friggin hip or a another stock clerk has to take a beating....with a sh!tty cable.

Sounds like you've been to GC:Do_O

Man this dump makes GC look like Norman's Rare Guitars or @matt3310 guitar emporium;)

I live 40-50 miles from the nearest music stores...all three of which are owned by the same "genius" that owns the one with the clerk that has all the welpts amongst his head a shoulders. Yeah, that one. I've never been in a GC...but I think I'm good. o_O:D

So, these showed up this morning.(the Wireless System, not the guitar or amp)
