Still haven't received my new ZM in exchang for my botched one, but when I do I will be having the nut filed so that I can use Hybrid Slinky Strings 9-46. My question is: if I go a step further and have the nut filed to accommodate ST/HB 10-52, am I likely to run into any tuning or other problems if I want to switch back and forth between gauges?

I recently had a nut "problem" that started with the inability to keep a WSL in tune. Several guys could not figure out the problem. Once it was in the hands of a hard-to-get-to celebrity luthier, he ragged on the Unobtainium PRS nut (I have never had a tuning problem previously), installed a bone nut, my problem vanished, and the WSL sings like it should (in tune). I use EB 10-52. I do not know what was previously used on the WSL, and if switching guages was part of the problem.

Over the years, I recall seeing the occasional tuning complaint on trem PRSi. Like my experience, the problem seemed to be the nut.
