NuGD part 2: Raising Sergio's Bet (sue, sue, sue)

Batting .500 with NFs? That’s like being on the interstate in the show.

i had a McNarrowfield and a SAS Narrowfield when they first came out but didnt care for them. i found them very articulate and unforgiving for a guy with a sloppy pick, so oh-for-two. but i dig the one in my SSH, and am floored by the Studio. maybe, just maybe it's not the guitars and i'm just a better player?

I was after a studio stop tail because everyone kinda forgot about then until recently with the re-release. Ended up with the SAS Narrowfield and like you said, it's incredibly unforgiving.

Lovely guitar by the way.

Interestingly, back in '11 they had the 57/08 in the bridge/treble position--which made sense, since the NF's were presented back then as narrow versions of the 57/08 pickup.

But I see that the newer/current Studio model has the 58/15 LT in the bridge/treble position. And I seem to recall PRS recently claiming that the NF pickups have been reformulated a bit (?) since their debut 10 years ago... So do they now match better with the 58/15 LT lower-output pickup? One wonders.

I leave you now with more questions than answers...
