I generally prefer less than twenty four frets as well.
Not only does 24 frets shift the neck pickup rearward, and I like to have a good so-called “jazz” tone available, but I’ve never developed a lot of facility way up there in the nose bleed ledger line section.
Oddly enough, I find the neck position pickup on this guitar is great, and the extra clearance around the 15-17 positions is very welcome.
I might even finally become a fan of the trem bridge!
Besides, I’ve already got 22 fret hard tail guitars covered, in case I need less!
This guitar works great. I might be an old dog learning some new tricks.
Who knows? I might finally break out of my patented SIX LICKS I’ve used for 25 years!
