NuGD 98 HBII

Gave it a clean and setup today along with the facelift.

I thought this colour was McCarty Burst, turns out to be Vintage Sunburst looking in the neck cavity. Was Vintage Sunburst renamed McCarty Burst?

PRS guitars looks so much better with all of their own parts rather than the off the shelf parts used on the older ones.

Pickup rings are from my 2015 McCarty since that got the new taller bridge ring. May get a tall ring for this when they are back in stock.

The 12th fret inlay even looks flamed, I assume this is rippled abalone?

Just need a Custom 24 to finish my little collection off.

You see everything is made better with Amber Lampshades ❤️

Got a strange buzz on certain notes, looking in the f hole the wires are loose against the back of the body, could this be the culprit?
Just asking before I try to rearrange them so they are not touching the back of the body.

HAH! Just when you think your collection is complete, PRS will introduce a new model with a new tonal palette! We are doomed, I say.

I managed to fix the buzzing issue by cable tying both of the pickup wires to the pickup legs to shorten the length in the body so they no longer touch the body. Ideally they should have been shorter when installed, way too much wire floating around in the body. I got buzzing when playing low notes on the D string, which was not annoying at all :D.
Just posting in case anyone else has the issue in the future. I also added a washer to the switch inside the body as the thread was sticking up a bit far past the knurled nut for my liking.

I was tempted to put the new wing buttons on this but the Phase II have thicker shafts so the wings don't fit. I know they are sold for Phase III but I have some on my Mira so thought why not try.

Button holes
Phase II (Schaller) - Ø4.3mm and 3.8mm across the flats.
Phase III (Gotoh) - Ø4mm and 3.5mm across the flats.

I hope they do the wing buttons for the Phase I / II tuners in the future.
