NUAD Sonzera 20 is now mine

So, here is the scoop. I had been eyeing a Sonzera 20 for sometime now. I nearly bought one from Ish Guitars, but couldn't come to an acceptable agreement on trade items. No worries, they are still my favorite guitar store.

This week, i got my first full paycheck after returning to work 3 weeks ago. I had huge numbers for hours and pay, so i said why not. I looked at the local GC's (gulp) as I knew one of the stores had one a while back. I found one at the other store for the same price, and packed my Katana 100 and Orange Micro Terror into the Mustang and off I went.

The store manager offered to buy the Micro Terror and 8" Speaker cab from me on the spot. It was a private deal, with no store involvement. $150 into the wifes Venmo account. The Katana and accessories went for to the store for their usual 60/40 used gear steal. I still made out though and only had tp pay about half of list price in cash.

The amp is in wonderful condition and came with the footswitch. It sounds real clean on the clean channel and gritty enough for me on the gain channel. I had a hum when i first turned it on, but found that was coming from the looper pedal i had in the FX loop.

One thing that puzzled me, is even though I had the volume all the way down, the clean channel was still coming through at about quarter output. After i pulled the FX loop, that seemed to go away. Could my FX loop be jacked up?

Upon further review and testing, the hum has been replaced with a hiss, but I expected that being a tube amp. looper pedal is back in the FX loop with no further issues. The GT-6 is working quite well through the clean channel, although I need to lower the output a bit as it gets loud fast. So I am a happy glamper.:D:cool:
