Forgive a gal a bit of long windedness....
So, complete guitar (and amp) noob who started around a year and a half ago at age 58 o_O. Started with an Eastman E6OM and a few other acoustics. Around 6 months in to my journey, I got a wild hair for an electric, so bought an SE HBII Piezo and a Yamaha THR30ii. It really was about making sounds, if you know what I mean. I wanted to be able to make a different variety of sound than just acoustic. Fell hard for my PRS and sold the acoustics. I really like the Yamaha amp, but I wasn't completely loving the piezo sound, so I wasn't using the piezo very much. I still haven't put a new battery in it and it's a year old, if that gives any indication. I was thinking maybe I had made a mistake and should have gotten the non-piezo version.

Here's the NUAAD part: scored a mint Fishman Loudbox Mini today for a very good price. Used my Line 6 transmitter to the Yamaha as usual and a cable to the Fishman Loudbox. Holy mother of God! I swear it sounds as if I'm sitting in the middle of a cathedral of sound! It's just beautiful! The piezo on its own through the Fishman sounds pretty creditable as an acoustic, and together they are just plain stupid fun.

So, that's my joyful story for today and thanks for reading!

Congrats!

I've been playing a lot longer than that, and the noises I make have never been described as "a cathedral of sound”.

One time, my playing was described as “the screams and wails of animals being slaughtered in cruel and inhuman ways as part of a demonic sacrifice ritual”. So it hasn’t always been negative.

I thought that was you in the coven!

Good to hear that you have found the sounds you've been searching for! It is so great when this happens because it makes you want to play even more!! And then you get even better at playing, largely because you are liking the sounds so much!!! Win Win Win!!!!

I remember these kind of discoveries when I was starting out. Really miss these kind of revelations :-). Enjoy them to the max!
