Nothing incredible but here's the story...
I had been considering an S2 for a while now and saw online that the local GC had an S2 Custom 24 standard in stock so I rode over to take a look. It was hanging up beside a couple SE's and this one which I thought at first glance was also an SE due to the fact that it had zebra pickups. Well I played the Standard for a few minutes and just wasn't as happy with it as I thought I would be. I don't know if it was the action (which seemed a bit high), the pick guard or what but it just didn't blow me away. I went to rehang it and noticed that the blue guitar I thought initially was an SE was actually an S2 Custom. Picked it up and almost immediately fell in love with the way it played. It's not the thin neck of the SE's that I love so much but somehow it just felt perfect in my hand. Plugged it up and was pleasantly suprised at the tones I was able to get out of it. Well even though I have never been a blue guitar kind of guy and wasn't really blown away by the looks of it, I decided that this was the one and made the purchase. Now never being happy with a stock guitar, I decided to swap out the 59/09's and full US electronics I had in my SE CU24 into this one and put these guts into the SE. Wow, what a difference, I can't put it down. I haven't been this excited about a guitar in a long time and never thought an S2 would bring me so much joy but here we are.
When I first brought it home...

After the electronics swap...

And a family photo...
