Picked up this big boy over the weekend...

Because, well, who doesn't need a good router! Specifically though, for this...

Turns out I don't own a top-bearing bit. So off to the hardware store at lunch today. More pics to follow.

Brave man. For future reference, an mdf/plywood template makes things a lot less hairy when cutting into a guitar top.

I wouldn’t have had the guts to do it free hand, so much kudos to you.

Yeah, I thought abut that...I wanted to use the existing cavity as the guide for the bit, but I couldn't find a bit short enough. Laziness won and we went freehand
