New Pickups arrived for the Standard 24 today. I am really impressed by this pair. They feel really well balanced and I really like how articulate the treble pickup is.

yes, they are reissues of the original Standard Bass & Standard Treble. What’s interesting is the Standard Bass is almost identical specs wise to the VB but it’s much clearer and I think pairs very well with the Treble, which is also a bit tamer than the HFS.

Sounds like the mahogany body is really enhancing the pickups.

I've always found it easier to get the sound that I like, out of all mahogany guitars. I've owned a core Standard 22, Starla and S2 Standard 24. I finally have two maple topped guitars (S2 Custom 22's), that I like better than my mahogany Standard. It's taken a lot of looking, to find these guitars.
