Well, officially it was like a week ago, but I had some issues. After watching a demo video that Stevan5150 posted I had to PM him to ask what effect he was using at a part of his video. Turned out to be a Mooer Slow Engine which is a copy of the tough to find discontinued Boss Slow Gear pedal. Kind of a backwards tape effect. Throw some delay and tremolo on it and it's lovely for shoegazey My Bloody Valentine type music. I immediately went and searched and found one used fro GC in Nashville, called up and they shipped it to me. Came in at the end of the week, plugged it in and it worked for about 1 minute and a half before it started emulating the sound a lawnmower makes when you pull the chord. I kept unplugging and re plugging it in, only now it wouldn't even work, it just went straight to lawnmower right.
I called up GC to ask if they even tested the pedal. One guy says he thinks that the guy who took it in may have gotten it from a friend and that's how it slipped through the cracks. Eventually the manager got the manager of the West Palm store by me to give me a call to have their repair person take a look at it. I was then asked to bring it to the newer Coral Springs store. Of course just like when you have an issue with your car and bring it in to the mechanic it's working just fine. So They told me to spend a week with it and hopefully whatever it was that happened was just some odd fluke. Hopefully because from the demo's I've seen of these thing it's just nuts. My Sunday will be spent partially like many homes in the US on a Sunday - doing laundry, and messing with this pedal, haha.
