This whole flipping side hustle thing has become so annoying. I feel like it's always been there but lately there just seems to be so much of it.

So, here's the deal. I got an e-mail from CME Tuesday evening. Seems they had an "error in their system" which "MAY" have caused them to oversell, so they don't have a pedal for my order. MAY HAVE???? No, sounds like what is supposed to be a successful music business either couldn't handle a simple inventory process, or I just got screwed. I know a lot of folks here have had good dealings w/them, which is why I wasn't hesitant to deal with them, and never say never, but I can't see ever dealing w/them again. Needless to say, I'm thoroughly pissed w/them, and w/the Rhoads family and Dunlop for making this such a limited thing. My local dealer had one in stock that I could have snagged, but I already had my order (or so I thought), so now I'm empty-handed.

And I will not overpay - gouge somebody else. @DISTORT6 and I had a brief conversation off-board because he wanted one, and I'd seen one but it had a $30 markup, and we both had the same opinion, not overpaying.

So screw these people. Right now, I don't want to deal w/anything Rhoads-related, a statement I never ever thought I'd make. I know I'm probably having an emotional overreaction right now, but it is what it is. I still have a couple places to check, and there's always the possibility that they'll make more, but I'm pissed.

And when I get like this, it's time to take a break. Don't know for how long, but I need to be away from this sh!t for a while. So, for now, I bid you adieu.

My granddaughter's cast singing it in "School of Rock" last fall (with live band in the orchestra pit)...

Not that you're...um...overreacting that you didn't get to spend money on something that wouldn't change your life in any meaningful way!

I kinda agree. I really dig Randy, but not so much that early 80s tone. Playing is on another level. I can see wanting this pedal if you're a fan, though. Kind of like for the "collection", not that it is going to be a collectors item. Just be an uber fan could lead me to get one.

I'm big into Rush and Alex. He (and Mojotone/Lerxst) launched the ByTor pedal last year, and I grabbed one. They released the Snowdog earlier this year. I really want to grab one, cuz Alex! But, it's a combo Fuzz/Octave pedal. I'm not sure that I would ever use it. Plus, it's $300. Still on the fence just for the Alex/Rush connection. Plus, it's cool looking
