NotaDumble pedal

I finally found the 10 minutes to put my Notadümblë together and Josh's "biggest mistake" isn't releasing the Notadümblë, Josh's "biggest mistake" is discontinuing the Notadümblë. For the price you can't beat this pedal as a clean boost or drive pedal.

The sad thing is I expect somebody will clone the Notadümblë when JHS should just keep selling it as Notadümblë V1. I think I'll take a closer look at the PCB and breadboard a 2nd one, then put on perf-board and in an enclosure with a 2nd foot switch and the "mid presence" on top.

Ah......

I've just persuaded a mate of mine to build me a clone of the BBC-1. It arrived this morning, in a dual pedal we came up with together: it's a BBC-1, in front of a circuit roughly analogous to a Dover Drive. I'll be trying it out with a bunch of amps over the next few months.

The main target was a front-end for my Hiwatt DR112 PA head; but it'll also be interesting to see how it does with the Fender Showman, and in the Boogie MkIIA's rudimentary loop :)

I think from Josh's explanation they ran out of parts to keep the cost low. He's smart and would have retooled the pedal housing graphic and kept going if it could be done at the same cost. His outlay cost for the parts is more expensive now.

That said, I bought 4. I'll admit I flipped one for a $70 profit (feel guitly) and also built one. The others I'm saving for a super drunk night when we might try to assemble one more.

I've got a Zendrive on the way, and I'll stick the BBC-1/DD in front of it.

I've been running this dual pedal into my Cornish SS-3 and SS-2 clone, as a front-end for a couple of amps. The Groove Tubes Dual 75 (EL34 channel) with C90 cab has been a notable success: the Hiwatt DR 201 PA is next

If Josh releases a Notadumble 2, I'll try and get my hands on one. Otherwise (going from the sublime to the ....er, vastly more sublime) it's going to be a Peace Hill SSS I think.

After twenty years my Two Rock CRS deserves a bit of a rest :)
