The Dr. Z forum had had one for almost 20 years. his business is fine. same goes for the Heritage forum and the Telecaster forum. I’m sure there are several others. It’s just plain ludicrous! (and extreme paranoia)

I don’t think it would make an appreciable dent in PRS’s earning, either. We’re a small group. I do think, though, that it’s their forum and their rules. That’s really all that matters. The why is just what the child in me wonders and the adult knows doesn’t matter.
I buy and sell used guitars somewhat regularly. Not having this as a venue to do that in has never been a problem at all.

I’m not surprised. A manufacturer specific site with a buy and sell section is just asking to be the stuck in the middle party of every bad transaction.

Sales forums require a high degree of moderation...ain't going to happen here.
Personally, I like it just fine without. I know where to sell/buy new/used PRSs just fine. I understand would-be sellers just want a target-rich environment...
PRS probably runs this site at a deficit. I don't feel like 'the product' when I come here... I have no problem respecting the rules.

I understand that but just consider their annual profit on guitar sales and everything else. I suppose you could call it a deficit to run this place but it's just a drop in the swimming pool compared to all of that other stuff.
I'd also be willing to bet this place may increase their sales due to the knowledgeable members here steering noobs or indecisive people in the right direction.

I have accepted the fact there are no used sales allowed here.
Not my forum so I will play by the rules.
The reason I'd like to see it happen is most d bags are weeded out so I feel like this place would be less risky for used sales interactions.
