And from the Don't Quit Your Day Job Department...

My son Jamie and Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars decide to stop on the way to a show in NYC and earn a few extra bucks...;)

Next time, position the case opening so that it faces the crowd. It makes it easier for passersby to throw spare change into the case.

Funny. I'm not sure what my reaction would be if I saw a famous artist street performing.

Les - as a 30STM fan and NY resident you have to let me know of cool stuff like this! PLEASE aha

Awesome! I love how you can tell Jamie and Jared are really friendly and not just in a band together.

Mike, Jamie's the recording engineer, he's not in the band -- that's still made up of the original members. I think this is all about doing some fun stuff and helping to promote the record.

EDIT: My niece just posted a picture of Jamie playing with the band in NYC at a show. So I may be way behind the curve here. LOL!

But you're right, they've become good friends, and you really can see that.

Oh yeah, it is for sure. He will be touring Europe with the band later this Spring, because there will be some TV/radio broadcasts that will be mixed live.

Jamie's a good guitar player and keyboard player, he toured with a band that opened for 30STM in 2011. Who knows? Maybe one day...

Undoubtedly a very special moment for those people standing there, something they'll remember and talk about for years. Very cool.

They had a nice little crowd in Union Square, and it looks like they had more fun, I don't know if you tried the link.
