non PRS competition

is this a church
I think so..we are all preaching the word of PRS!

But seriously, no there is a lot of latitude here for non PRS guitars, I mean this thread for starters!

Obviously being a PRS forum it's predominantly PRS based and has a lot of fans.
But the vast majority also have other brands and appreciate them, again hence this thread.

Your mangled quote of what I wrote:
"Your diffidence, OTOH, is already proving anprised? obstacle to successful engagement here. What about this do you find surprising?"

I know grammar and spelling aren't your forté: however, substituting your own non-words is going a bit far. "anprised?"

I'm sure there's a forum elsewhere that's better suited to your unique perspicacity.

rando is a commonly used word loosely meaning of a random nature...usually at this point of a goofy exchange i would recommend you find a hobby other than me but isn't our hobby why we are here in the first place so...

You'll just have to put up with me I guess; that is, if you're planning on staying too.

How about telling us something more, and positive, about your experiences in a PRS-related vein?

i am enamored with the guitar i played the other day...it is a 2010 singlecut...serial k00414...it may be korina but i can't tell...it's online at guitar center...$404...i think it's a maple flame top

i am going back to play it again in a few minutes...one thing i like is the one tone and volume set up...i always feel like the v/t for each pickup needs a master tone too

If you enjoy playing it, and it gets you closer to a musical goal, then have at it.

What amp are you going to be running it through?

i currently have a vox ac4 c1 with a 12" speaker...in defense of the starla i recently bought and sold i played it for a few hrs thru a vox ac10 and liked it because the pickups were much brighter and more jangly than most hbs' but at home thru the ac4 i couldn't find any bottom end anywhere

Perhaps you need amps more than you need guitars?

A few amps - six or thereabouts, maybe - would let you cover everything from jangle to djent. A variety of cabs and different speakers wouldn't go amiss either.

Let us pray!

Dear Paul
Who art in Stevensville
Hallowed be thy game

Thy guitars strum
Like from heaven strung
With all amps on eleven

And give us this play
Our daily shred
As we attempt to flow
The worth of your genius

And Reed us on to acquisition
Of more of your product
For thine is the kingdom
And the power
Of the six string
Forever and ever

Yes, and it tastes Grrrrrrreat! I have never played another guitar that feels as good as my 3 PRSi!! Much of it is personal preference of course, but then again, mine are a Core, and Wood Library and a Private Stock so they are not exactly entry level (though my guitar playing capability is below entry level) ;~))

Decided to not waste time mixing and drinking to snort the packets instead!

personal preference...i decided against the singlecut i was looking at for the same reasons you like your guitars...personal preference...and the fact that i didn't like it enough to buy it doesn't mean it's the worst guitar ever made in the same way that the fact that you love yours doesn't mean they're the best guitars made...it simply means YOU think they are...and that's ok by me
