Non guitar related topic - what are your hobbies ?

Hey hi all again. ^^
I just have one short question: what are your hobbies other then guitar / music ?
The thing is: I found myself in a situation where my life expenses have been covered , and each month I have left around 375 - 400 $ in my budget (which is big money for my country standards per month). So I came to ask here, what should I put that money into?
At the moment I am getting some mini recording studio gear stuff.
But other than that , where to put that money into? I mean: which other stuff to try out in life?
That is why I ask what are your other hobbies. Thanks for ideas.
PS. yeah I know this topic is kinda "dumb" , but I don't know where to ask this and I thought it would be cool to get input from here.
Again , thanks.
Modding, repairing and adjusting (setting up and finessing) guitars.

I Don't Know That It Is Technically Investing. I Like To Think Of It As Collecting. :)
If you are buying silver coins and not bullion, you are technically just moving your money into another form of currency. Does that work? lol

The Fiat Dollar Is Done And The Markets Are Going To Crash Like We Have Never Seen Them Crash In The Very Near Future.
If fiat currency is done we are all hooped. But we can barter with our guitars. ;-)

I worry about the market too, but there is a lot of govt. stimulus Stateside. The Infrastructure Bill and Chip Act are fueling a very robust recovery. Both of those Bills are bipartisan, so I hope this isn't a political post.

Is hedging investing? ;)

HI-FI.
You can start with a reasonable and good sounding rig and climb up to the - IMO demential - "audiophile world".

Besides it will provide you with a serious knowledge about acoustic physics, instead of the bunch of BS we guitar players often discuss about when chasing "The Tone".

Savage comment. xD HAHAHAHAHA! You had me laugh good there. :D That is why I put haha emoji. :D Thanks you for idea btw. :)

As an audiophile and ex-studio tech, I don't hold with the nonsense spoken by a lot of folk I tend to bump into: people with multiple hundreds of thousands-worth of hi-fi kit.

I use active and passive ATC speakers, hung off of clean digital sources rather than turntables; I also don't chase tone (complete bollocks, IMO) - what I'm looking for is what I refer to as "texture".

Doing the bolt-on upgrades to my old bimmer, hiking around Maryland and Virginia, daydreaming about a Private Stock PRS and a BTO Taylor, kayaking and canoeing. Occasional GarageBand experimentation. Wondering what happened to all the guitars I've let go of over the years.
