Hi guys!
A month ago I got a new PRS Custom 24 and it's such an amazing guitar! I've been playing using my POD HD500X through a Boss Katana amp and it just sounds amazing, but today I tried something different. I have some NDSP pluggins and wanted to check them out with this guitar but to my surprise, when I plugged the guitar into my interface I noticed there was some noise when playing (I was using the Gojira X pluggin with a high gain setup) so I turned down the volume a little bit to see how it responded and the noise just got worse.
I immediately changed guitars to see if something in my rig was wrong but everything was perfectly clean so I don't understand what it's going on with the PRS. I went back to my regular rig (the PRS, the pod and the katana) and it all sounded crystal clear but when trying again with the pluggins (any pluggin for that matter) in a moderate to high gain setup it just sounds awful.
The funniest part is that the noise gets worse when the volume knob is around 8 and it gets pretty much quite at 10, but when I play I can hear the noise in the background and it just gets annoying and sounds terrible.
Any ideas on what could it be and how to fix it? I really want to hear that Gojira X high gain tone with the PRS.
Thanks in advance!
Ps. The other guitars I tried the pluggins with, -and sounded perfectly good-, are an Ibanez S420 and a Jackson X Rhoads. My interface is a PreSonus Studio 24C.
