Ok. So I love music and playing guitar. Music theory intrigues me and I love it. But, the technical aspects of the guitar (and amps) I struggle with. I’m still leaning about amps, electronics, effects and how the really work, etc. shoot I finally learned how to do complete setups (mostly for financial reasons).
So, when I play I can hear every touch of the string and I can practically blow on it and there is a sound. If I play a funk rhythm in the high register, the lower strings have a resonance that I hear. Is this a technique issue, pickup (height?) issue, amp issue? Thank you and please forgive my ignorance.

I may be mistaken, but I think that what you are experiencing is just common sympathetic vibrations. I’m also a long time bass player, and I can tell you that issue is a bane to bass players. Because of the power of the played note’s vibration, other strings begin to vibrate its harmonics. This also happens with electric guitar. I believe that is what you are experiencing. If so, you need to practice some finger muting. That is simply the practice of deadening the strings that you don’t want to ring. This is done by simply touching the unused strings with whatever is handy. At first, it seems like you are defeating all of the practice to be accurate with your chording by not touching other strings. But this is a more advanced technique to make your music cleaner and more accurate. Depending on what you are playing, sometimes you can use your plucking hand to help in muting the unwanted vibrations. It’s awkward at first, but it becomes automatic in time.
And remember, we were all right where you are at one time. Any question is probably something that we have also struggled with.

Thank you, yes I think you may be correct. When I play the other strings the lower strings just start vibrating. Time to research and learn...
 
I would suggest working on where your strumming hand is located while you play. I keep my palm close to the strings 80% of the time to work on mini-mutes. Where you can mute the lower strings with the slightest of hand movements but still have the highs ring out.

It takes time and practice but as said before we have all been there.
