in response to cityrocker i put my own lindy fralin single coils and 5 way in my old single cut.
Ill try to show the build. took two days of spare time and plays like a dream . i don't like the strat knobs.
in the open hole i'll put a 15 db boost QDD which has 1 boost and 3 levels of distortion. 9 volt,.

Perfect, and this makes me happy , black hard tail prs strat ;)

I had thought about having a pickguard for an S2 made with three single coils and putting it on a singlecut SE. Good job!

Interesting project...good for you for going for it.
Not crazy about the p/g shape though....the right shape & color would really make that shine!

What a great idea, especially because I love the hard tail bridge. Who makes the 15 dB boost?
the unit is called a QDD , or a QDD2 . by Artec. about 20.00 . its a 5 position unit 1- bypass , 2-15 db boost , 3- blues over drive, 4- rock overdrive . 5-heavy metal distortion.

yes you are right I wish I was a graphic artist with a design background. i wanted to go all black ,but that could be changed at any time. But I had to kind of follow the shape of the flat area of the guitar. But open to suggestions on shape
I did also think of making custom pickup rings and mounting 3 separate rings and pickups.

WOAH! Now that is what I call DIY project...I was born to tinker and modify things... but this is a serious friggin project! Looks awesome! Very impressive my brother!

I bought these Narrowfields in custom mounted Ebony rings from a fellow forum member. I'm not sure who made them for him, but it's definitely something to think about.
