So last week I ordered a new vibrato arm from PRS, as the CE24 I bought came without one. I asked for 3-day shipping to have it in time for a show Thursday.

The package arrives. Inside are... a set of the locking screws for tuners.

No vibrato arm. Hmmmm.

I check the packing slip and while the ENVELOPE was addressed to me, the order number was one off, and the screws were to go to someone in California. I call PRS and after some talking I say don't worry about sending me a UPS return envelope and all that: I'll just pack the screws and send them to the guy.

So I do that. In the meantime the folks at PRS were fine with priority overnighting me another vib arm for my show.

Today I get a thank you card from the guy in California, "From one PRS player to another."

It was just a nice accidental transaction, with company and customers all being pretty cool and no one getting too caught up in official protocols. Made my week a little better!

What a community! I don't know if I've said it lately, but I love this place!

Of course I was joking...I say it every frickin' day!

Great story. I love hearing that there are still decent people out there who do cool stuff just cause that's what you're supposed to do.

Definitely a great group of people...It's a shame the Experience is only 3 days...barely enough time to chat with all these awesome folks!!
