First impressions:

1) The body depth increase and back carve makes for a wide open right arm playing position that is surprisingly comfortable.

2) Covered 57/08s ARE THE SH!T!!!

3) Strung with .011s, this baby has tone tone tone for days.

4) The acoustic resonance of this guitar is off the charts.

5) Now I need a Santana.

6) Rush tunes sound monstrous on this beast!!!

More to come...

Ya just had to add #6 to rub it in, didn’t ya!?!? :p

I was referring to your “Rush tunes sound monstrous” on your list :D
Right-O, good man! Gotcha! I was playing through some Rush on a Collings 335 type guitar the other night and, while it plays really nicely, it doesn’t have half the balls of the HB2. 57/08s!!!

Awesome report! Yeah, they have a great resonance, and the piezo/mag blend, like all PRSi with piezos, offers a nice way to blend in a little of the other to either fill out a mag pup sound, or add some bite to the piezo.

If anyone ever sees one of these white SC HB cases up for sale, let me know! Love to snag one for my SC HB II...

Awesome, looks a lot like mine. I love mine, and I love the 57/08's.
I don't know why but I never used the blend much but I was using it today and it sounds great clean.

That’s a wonderful specimen, BC! The piezo ultimately shines for me when played through an acoustic amp using the dedicated piezo output. And using .011s! It’s trite to say how woody the resonance sounds in these guitars, but it really is wonderful.

Trite? Or accurate? ;)
