Hi guys

Let's do something a little bit different this time around....

Let's see if you can guess what this is. People with prior knowledge/suspicions due to some previous posts here should hold off on guessing for a while, just to keep it interesting :-)

Here's a crappy demo I recorded, that's all you get to go by for now!
https://soundcloud.com/michael_dk/mystery-guitar-13-02-14-21-49

Improvised a riff, failed miserably to accurately double track it on a different pickup setting, slapped an improvised solo on top (third pickup setting), also clashing with the first AND the second riff at times. Anyway, one pickup setting on the left, one on the right, and the third one (solo) up the middle. Added a drummer track in Logic Pro X, but no bass.

Let the games begin!!!

EDIT: The contest is over, Dancing Frog is the winner! Go to this post to see the answer: http://prsguitars.com/forum/showthread.php?8225-NGD!&p=129699&viewfull=1#post129699

Sounds vintagey. I like it. Hmmmm....I will guess when I listen to it like 100 more times lol. I have a feeling we be surprised.

A bit further info on the signal chain for anybody interested:

Pedal: OCD clone (DIY)
Amp: hughes&Kettner Tubemeister 18, clean channel
Recorded through the emulated output (slapped a cabinet impulse response on each track afterwards)

Sure! I'll reserve the right to tell you whether you're allowed the answer when I see it ;-)

OK, next hint:

The reason why I post audio instead of pictures (not really, but anyway) is that it doesn't have a nicely flamed maple top. At all. The finish on mine is furthermore opaque. Very opaque.

I think it's something with P90's. One of the Soapbars. It doesn't have enough girth to be Singlecut although it has hoopy tone on neck pick up in the Solo.
