This came today............................. But not for me

A new friend tried an old SE CU and he liked it so I ordered a CU 24 SE 30th in vintage burst from Jack Gretz.

very light, sounds bright ( strings with 9s), the tone pot has no resistance but gives some nice tonal shades, the pups reactswell with volume changes

Excellent fit and finish, but unfortunately arrived without the trem arm so i have to ship it alone half way across the world

Amazingly enough the wide thin neck didn't bother me on this one, great guitar for the money.

My young friend will be very happy tomorrow

That is a LOOKER...your friend should be very pleased. I have had a few of those pass through my hands over the past few years, they are excellent values, and these newer ones with the coil splits sound very good. Necks are pretty much spot-on to the core counterparts. Makes me want one again. Of course, breathing makes me want more guitars...

Great looker!

I just watched a video done by Tim Pierce last night - probably one of the best-known session players in LA, who also does videos in his home studio. And in the video, his recommendation for getting great 'bucker tone if you don't want to drop three grand or more?

You guessed it - PRS SE. He seemed truly impressed with the playability, fit, and tone of the guitars. I believe that in addition to his many other amps, he has an HXDA that sits behind him in several recent videos.

Nice! I think the bursts make the veneer seem a little more "invisible", which I really like.

You are right Sergio, I showed my young friend few ones with more prominent tops
but he insisted on more subtle one in this specific color
and we lucked out with this beautiful one.
