Long story short, I was in a bad $$$ position, and had to give this guitar away 2 years ago. I had bonded with this guitar instantly when I got it from Moss who used have killer PRSs, and told me this was an exceptional one. He was right. (I hope all is well with Moss, I have no idea what happened to him :iamconfused: He use to come up with some of the most beautiful PSs on the internet) Anyway, I had always wanted it back, and I was able to buy another when times got better. It was a great guitar too, but I could never match the recorded tones I had made with this one, and I never bonded with it the same way either. I was lucky enough to borrow it, and I A/bd it with a few others I was able to find. Unlike most PRS models, there is quite a difference in the way these all sound. (Maybe because of the more acoustic properties of a semi hollow with an F hole???) In any case, I was unable to find another that could match the tone of this one. This one also happens to be a very light 6Lbs even, but I am not sure if that really matters or not, as I was able to play another at just about that weight as well. The person who I gave it to loves it almost as much as I do, and did not want to sell it back to me. Soooo...I had a TwoRock Emerald Pro up for sale for the last week or so (WHAT an amp...hate to sell that too, but cant have everything in this economy) and someone comes to look at it. He LOVES the amp, and just happens to own a dead mint, CU 22 semi hollow with a killer chevron flame top in charcoal. He wanted to purchase the amp, but my wheels started turning. The guitar above has a few nichs here and there, and one fairly good size chip off the neck from when I originally owned it. The one this guy had was not only dead mint and looked just as nice, but also sounded good as well. A/Bing with the one above I was borrowing, still showed how great that one sounded, and how for some reason or another, i just bonded with it. I offered a straight trade for the amp and a cab for the guitar, and he accepted. (I took a pretty good hit, but i had something in mind, which you can probably tell is coming) That was yesterday. Today I showed the dead mint guitar to the owner of the one above, and offered a straight up trade. He accepted, and I have my baby back!!!! :o :rock::rock: WHAT a string of luck, and coincidence!! Here is a clip of the guitar way back when I owned it the first time. It might not do it for anyone else, but this is a tone that just knocks me out, and inspires me to play better. I get chills just hitting a note, bending, and listening to it! DEEP, rich, smooth tones, with a top end swirl that is like finely crushed glass. No sharpness, buzziness, or harshness anywhere to be found. Not in the bottom, middle, or upper registers. I am in love!!! :adore: You can tell by the remarks in the video I was ummm..."slightly" excited about the tones I was getting. ;)

OK, so that's two awesome guitars that have found their way back to their owners here on the PRSForum in past couple of weeks.

Things always come in three, so I'm told, so who's next?!

Great story with an even better ending, Tag. I think it sounds great in that clip!

Hmmm, maybe I should be checking the local stores :D There is one I kinda miss out there somewhere!

Awesome!

I had a really nice one, same color, but with a flame top, and I loved it. Sounded very similar to yours, and in fact I used it mostly with my Two-Rock Dumble style amp.. As luck would have it, I sold that one in a studio emergency.

It was a huge bummer.

I think that model is truly one of PRS' best ever.
