I'm happy to report that I've added two new (to me) members to my PRS stash.

First up is this 2013 dead mint CU 24 10 top in Makena Blue. The pickups are 57/08s. Very sweet guitar. I've been drooling over blue PRS guitar's lately.

Next is this Emerald 1995 CE 22 in player's condition. The guitar has some real honest wear, but mostly is in need of a good cleaning. It's pretty crusty. I've started the process of cleaning it up and restoring it back to stock. It's sitting in pieces on my work bench right now waiting for parts.

It does retain its original Dragon 1 pickups, but the original Phase I tuners, the original strap buttons, and its case has gone missing. However, I did get it a a good price so those items are on their way from John Mann.

I'm pretty happy with both of these.

I like 'em both a lot. I've really been into blue/green guitars too, but only from PRS. They seem odd if a Gibson, and even Fender (although I dig a Sherwood green Telecaster). Is it me, or does PRS make more (or a larger percentage of) blue/green guitars than other companies?

Blue definitely does not look good on a Gibson except maybe a Firebird. Fender has Daphne, Sonic Blue, and Taos Turquoise which all look pretty nice on a Stratocaster. I like Sherwood Green on a Strat too.

This the one that caused me to start the tuner thread. I bit the bullet and bought them from John Mann. So much for patience. :p

Ha! Yeah well, if it makes you feel any better, John’s an artist and there’s actually a bunch of machine work that goes into making those little collars. So while they’re expensive.... it’s not a too bad considering.
