I poked at this purchase over the course of a year until I got the price I wanted. It’s not arrived yet but here’s the photo from the dealer:

A few specs: Brazilian rosewood board, satin finish, Indian rosewood neck, blacked out hardware.

Fellow HBII owners - what am I in for? I’ve played some other HBIIs but haven’t spent enough time with them to say I have a “true” opinion. I love the experiences I’ve had so far enough to buy one so I suppose there’s no talking me out of it

Congrats and welcome!

The Hollowbody II is one of my favorite models, by far. Super light, but very resonant. Mine is a bit different, spec-wise, than yours...mine has a maple neck with an ebony board. Very articulate, piano-like tone. Open chords sound absolutely fantastic and it plays incredibly well. No doubt you'll love yours!

Beauty! Always wanted to try a HB with a RW neck. Dig the top on that one too. Plus the piezo? Win win win!

I love my HBs - both have piezos, and I really like the options I can get using that as an acoustic-guitar substitute. I have a Spruce HB (the third PRSi I acquired) and a SC HB II (most recent PRSi I acquired). They are resonant, light, and versatile!

So both of mine are the standard-issue hog necks, IRW boards. I sense that I need to procure additional models, and both of these are excellent options! I have a few maple-necked and ebony board PRSi, and zero RW-neck PRSi, so I think I should scope out a RW-neck HB next, maybe a double cut HB II. Hmmm...
